The Field Marketing Manager is a key role responsible for leveraging marketing expertise to implement Cooper's Hawk marketing strategies, ultimately contributing to the achievement of sales, profitability, and traffic goals. This role collaborates closely with both the Marketing and Operations teams to develop and execute local store marketing plans while ensuring the successful integration of national marketing initiatives. Reporting directly to the Director, Restaurant Marketing, the Field Marketing Manager serves as a vital support resource for restaurants and Area Directors, both in new market entries and in providing ongoing marketing assistance to existing locations and markets. The primary focus is on tailoring marketing plans to yield the best business results within local trade areas. 
 
This role assumes a strategic partnership with the Sr. Director of Reservations to drive local restaurant-level marketing initiatives. Additionally, it is an integral part of a team-based approach to efficiently manage Local Store Marketing (LSM). Responsibilities include devising tactical plans to boost traffic and retail sales, leading the execution of critical LSM initiatives, managing interactions between General Managers/Area Directors, and overseeing monthly collateral direction and execution. This position is based out of our Restaurant Support Center in Downers Grove, IL, where we have a hybrid work environment (3 days a week in-office).
 
What You’ll Do: 
  • Manage and execute media, marketing, and branding programs to boost traffic and sales in Cooper’s Hawk markets.
  • Assess the effectiveness of local programs and contribute to process enhancement.
  • Assist Operations and Development teams in creating and executing plans for new restaurant openings, emphasizing regional awareness, community involvement, increased sales, and traffic to new locations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director, Restaurant Marketing and Director of Reservations to develop and implement targeted marketing plans for boosting sales and traffic in partnership with marketing channel leads including CRM/Email, Social, Open Table, Paid Media, PR, etc.
  • Coordinate local efforts with agency partners for new restaurant openings, brand campaigns, restaurant anniversaries, and special events.
  • Supervise the Local Store Marketing (LSM) budget, covering both system-wide programs and individual store spending.
  • Conduct field marketing visits to plan and oversee marketing activities, as necessary.
  • Ensure effective communication of national marketing programs and strategies to local restaurants.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and other departments, including Operations, Field Support, Training, IT, and Finance.
  • Handle additional responsibilities as required, including executing the Local Store Marketing (LSM) Playbook in collaboration with Operations and Marketing.
  • Support New Restaurant Openings, including events, PR, Media Dines, etc.
  • Vet and set up partnerships with local chambers and vendors.
  • Coordinate the creation of marketing materials with restaurants.
  • Partner closely with Operations to increase guest traffic.
  • Develop and deliver reports, presentations, and analytics on the progress of service line priorities, goals, operations, activities, and programs.
  • Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on time, including managing, tracking, and implementing an ongoing marketing deliverables calendar.
  • Create an integrated and localized advertising and communications strategy that aligns with the broader sales and marketing strategy. Maintain consistent messaging across channels to enhance brand awareness, customer acquisition/retention, and sales.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to execute initiatives aligned with the company's growth strategy.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant marketing experience, preferably in restaurants or hospitality.
  • Experience in creating and implementing marketing plans.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and work well with others.
  • Strong project management skills: ability to manage multiple projects of moderate to complex scope.
  • Follows company policies, upholds professional standards, and performs all work in a manner respectful of others.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • Proven track record of marketing achievements
