Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants is looking for an experienced Instructional Design Specialist to support our growing restaurant group. As a part of the Learning & Development Team, the Instructional Design Specialist will be responsible for program administration and the design and development of blended learning solutions for Operations and the Restaurant Support Center.
What You’ll Do:
- Consult with key project stakeholders regarding learning needs and project deliverables
- Conduct task analyses and assess knowledge/skill gaps to ensure the learning solution supports performance and business goals
- Design digital learning solutions grounded in adult learning principles with the ability to adapt/innovate the approach to meet the specific needs of Operations
- Design and develop new curriculum for hourly and management training and certification programs for multiple concepts
- Design, develop, and maintain standardized department templates and forms
- Partner across all departments to update training materials and resources for programs to ensure ongoing accuracy
- Administer department Learning Management System(s), including user management, content management, and field training/support
- Serve as a producer for webcasts/virtual classroom sessions, including scheduling, technical support, and reporting
- Collaborate with and provide support to department team members as requested to ensure achievement of project deliverables and department objectives
- Complete all tasks on time and in budget in alignment with project goals and operational standards
- Stay current with trends, best practices, and technology of both the industry and field
- Actively seek opportunities to improve current programs, processes, and procedures to advance the Learning & Development strategy
- Design and develop content to support key strategic business initiatives
- Create presentations for department webinars and field all team meetings
- Plan and manage content release dates for training materials
- Develop clear assessment questions for coursework that aligns with learning objectives
- Support the planning of annual GM/EKM Conference by developing content and execution on site
What You’ll Need:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an instructional design role
- Experience applying adult learning theory and design principles to content/program development
- Experience using eLearning authoring tools for online content development
- Strong written communication skills, including editing/reviewing material
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to track and manage multi-faceted content updates
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Articulate 360 (Rise and Storyline), Adobe (forms and print production), Smartsheet
- Ability to work and manage projects independently
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
- College degree or equivalent experience
