We are looking for a Financial Analyst with a growth mindset to fill this role, reporting to the Director of Finance. In this role, the Financial Analyst will provide financial support to the organization through expense trend analysis and will play an integral role in the forecasting, planning, and reporting processes for G&A. This role will partner with teams across the finance organization to help improve monthly reporting packages, planning processes, financial models, and analytics. The position will also support capital expenditure reporting and cash reporting/forecasting.
We are seeking an individual with strong analytical and communication skills, excellent understanding of corporate finance fundamentals, and a desire for consistent personal development. As a key business partner on a dynamic team, you will work in areas including forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong financial acumen coupled with advanced Microsoft Office skills. This position will be a part of the Finance team and is located at the Restaurant Support Center in Downers Grove, IL. We have a hybrid work environment (3 days a week in-office).
What You'll Do:
- Partner with the Finance Director to support various business leaders across the organization to better understand the Company's expenses and capital expenditures
- Analyze business trends and provide timely insights to support the business in delivering against KPIs
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis / deep dives on pressing business issues to support key business decisions and to provide new and different insights into understanding key drivers of business results
- Review general ledger accounts, cost centers, and vendor level spending detail monthly
- Complete variance analysis of monthly G&A results
- Prepare and maintain financial benchmarking metrics
- Participate in compilation of monthly G&A departmental expenses
- Prepare and distribute monthly departmental G&A analysis and reporting
- Reconcile monthly MID headcount and expenses
- Maintain and expand models to generate insights and analyze impact of new strategic initiatives
- Assist in preparation of Annual Operational Budget and Quarterly Forecasts
- Partner with Director of Finance to deliver daily cash reporting and weekly cash forecasting
- Monitor weekly cash inflows/outflows
- Assist with preparing data used to meet bank covenant reporting requirements
- Assist with Capital Expenditure reporting and analysis to ensure accurate reporting that aligns with budget and forecast
- Ensure and strengthen the integrity of data and reporting systems
- Ensure that propriety information and data sources are protected
- Act as a representative of the Company, supporting and reinforcing our Core Values
What You'll Need:
- Represent and demonstrate the Cooper’s Hawk values
- BS in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, or equivalent degree
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office platforms, particularly Microsoft Excel
- The qualified candidate will be detail oriented, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, understanding how to prioritize
