Position Summary:
The Sr. Director, Strategy, Planning & Activation will be responsible for supporting the design and development of organizational strategies and business solutions. The role will partner closely with key executives and stakeholders across the organization to guide and support strategy positioning, business case development, trend research, and data visualization. They will use critical integration, influence, and alignment skills to support the planning and execution of comprehensive work efforts.
In addition, the Sr. Director, Strategy, Planning & Activation will support enterprise-level engagement strategies.
This position will report to the VP, Strategy & Planning.
What You Will Do:
- Business Strategy Design and Development: Advance organizational goals and priorities through the design development of both enterprise- and department-level strategies; partner with cross-functional leaders to set, design and execute on strategic vision
- Innovative Storytelling: Champion and introduce innovative approaches to storytelling and data visualization; deconstruct, simplify, and document complex content into digestible formats
- Enterprise Planning and Prioritization: Support enterprise-wide master planning processes to align strategic initiatives with organizational goals, ensuring the prioritization of projects that deliver the highest value and impact across the company; build annual roadmap
- Enterprise Engagement: Support the evolution of organizational engagement and storytelling designed to instill culture, inspire various audiences, and optimize performance; support enterprise engagement efforts, and provide communications expertise where needed
- Strategic Planning & Activation: Manage large-scale enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, in alignment with organizational objectives; collaborate cross-functionally to create alignment and optimize results
- Enable and Optimize: Enable the organization with tools, resources, and education to support the design, planning, delivery, tracking, and reporting of various workstreams
- Lead, Influence, Align: Indirectly lead and influence executive and cross-functional leaders within the organization to achieve common objectives and business strategies
What You Will Need:
- Must represent Cooper’s Hawk values
- Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in communications, executive presentation design, or related
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Outstanding leadership abilities and proven success as a leader with a high-growth, innovative organization
- Flexibility, accountability, resourcefulness, and the ability to build strong relationships across the organization
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- A high-touch, hospitality-forward mindset with a focus on delivering unique experiences for our Guests and Wine Club Members
- Self-directed and organized with an ability to manage a high level of detail across multiple projects and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objectives
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Flexible hybrid scheduling being in Chicago office as meetings demand
- Adobe Creative Suite proficiency, desired
- Restaurant, hospitality and/or special events experience a plus
